INTRODUCTION
The CATA Food Bank Initiative is a comprehensive program originated and managed by the Cambodian Amanah Takaful Association (CATA). This independent initiative is dedicated to addressing food insecurity within the Muslim community and beyond through sustainable, Shariah-compliant approaches to food collection and distribution. Based on Islamic principles of charity and community welfare, the program leverages various Islamic charitable mechanisms to create lasting food security solutions.
MISSION
To combat food insecurity by promoting sustainable food contributions through community donations, Zakat, Qurban, Waqf projects, and other charitable activities that align with Islamic principles of giving and community support.
CORE PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES
1. Food Contribution & Distribution
- Collect and distribute essential food items to poor families
